2012 Favorites #7

So I was listening to music and I had a total "Oh merde! I forgot to post today!" moment. Correct me if I'm wrong, but merde is supposed to mean crap in French I dunno, I took German... Anywho, I did forget to post up until five minutes ago, and I want to apologize for my inaccurate posting lately. I suck, I really do, and I'm sorry for that. I'm sorry to all of you (not many), but random people who actually do come on the blog. Everyday, once a week, whenever. You deserve better than this.

2012 Favorites #6

Alrighty, so Google Chrome hasn't been friendly exactly with blogger the last few days (weird cause they're both google softwares whatever) so I'm hoping to be able to post this without my browser crashing.*fingers crossed* Now for the reasons I la-la-la-loooove Losing Lila by Sarah Alderson. I'm going to  list them, because I'm in a list mood.

1. Sarah Alderson writes the BEST stories, I seriously expect nothing less than amazing from her.

2. I love all the characters!! Suki and Nate are HILARIOUS, Lila is amazing, Alex and Jack are the bestest. There are lot of important characters so I could go on forever. Or at least what seems like forever.

2012 Favorites #5

Today’s 2012 Favorite is brought to you by my English homework! No joke, I seriously didn't know what to pick until it hit me when I was writing up a little assignment on how awesome Emerson is. How Hourglass is connected with Beowulf (which we’re analyzing/reading) I don’t care to explain. Back to topic here, Hourglass by Myra McEntire is seriously amaze. I LOVE this story, it’s incredible and definitely a must read. Now, those of you who die at the sight on time travelers, you’ll love this book. It’s got some serious time traveling issues, a couple uber hotties, a supportive sister-in-law, and at slightly confused yet totally kick-ass main character.  Plus some romance in it for the rest of ya.

Hourglass is the first in the Hourglass Trilogy, and I must say Timepiece really does live up to the standards. I love both books and am sad to say that the last installment in the trilogy will be released this year. (Sad but happy, and totally excited, yet seriously remorseful.)

2012 Favorites #4

Alrighty, I may have mentioned the Demon Trappers series in the past, (I think I have), and how much I seriously love that series and ate up the all four novels and prequel last year. Of course I'd make all five stories into 2012 favorites, but I'd assume after posting about one you people in bloggerville will get the hint. Sad for me because I have less to post about, but I don't want to be that annoying person who keeps repeating the same things over, and over.

Getting off topic, back to the point here. I love the Demon Trapper Series by Jana Oliver, it's super amazing and I loved the story for every minute, and just about everything I wanted happened in the end. It wasn't too predictable and not too confusing either. Each book was nice and left you wanting for more, and I don't really remember it having the constant "O.M.G I'M GOING TO DIE" cliff hangers. (I could be wrong! But who cares they're all released!) I am VERY sad that my Trapper adventures are over, and I'm still looking for that one story that could come close to filling that gap in my heart. Even though I probably wont, I still think it was an excellent ride, taking in considerations all the ups and downs.

2012 Favorites #3

OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG I FREAKING LOVE THIS BOOK. Like it's so amazing, and funny, and clever, and interesting, and intense. It's lovely actually. Most of the time it's two great guys in a book, well this time it's four, I know right. Total freak out. The best thing about this book is the characters, it got to the point where I was so on edge and worried that someone I loved was really the killer. So here's what happens and why I love it.

Clarity (Clare) has a gift called Psychometry. Whenever she touches something she can get a flashblack/feeling from the person wearing/holding/whatevering it. So when a murder happens in her little town, she's called to help out the police.

2012 Favorites #2

So I was debating on what to post again, only tonight I actually thought of a book I LOVED this year!! Woohoo props for me. Trust me all this remembering is harder than you think. Revived by Cat Patrick is like super amaze totally awesome heart breaking insane greatness of a book. I love love love love love this book. And I actually thought it was called Revive and not Revived this whole time. Random but true. Anyways this book is AWESOME.

I didn't exactly know what to expect when I started reading this book. I loved Forgotten also by Cat Patrick, but I wasn't sure how Revived was going to play out. It actually took me a while to get into. This book is sad, like really sad on the verge of tears in some parts and others I needed to put the book down before I just started crying like a baby. But it's SUCH a good book!

2012 Favorites #1

Okay, only thirteen days left in the year. And it's kinda freaking me out because I'm trying to eat up at least ten more books within these days. You see, I read a grand total of 65 books last year, and I wanna top that. 57 down, at least nine more to go. So I decided we'd highlight some of our favorite books of the year. I actually do have a lot this year, even though after starting the blog and reviews I haven't really read the best books. (I'm still wondering if this is a weird curse or something...) But at the beginning of the year I read a few awesome ones. Deadly Cool by Gemma Halliday is definitely a favorite. I read this book really really early, like in February and I kinda doubt that's when I read it sometimes. It feels like way longer than that.
