Okay, I know there is another word for that. I think it starts with 'm'. Anyways it's still called a standalone too. You know, those books that never have the sequel you were praying for? Yeah those, well these are our top ten! 

What Not to Love: Favorite Guys!

Okay so yesterday we posted up our favorite main girls running through the YA world, and today it's the guy's turn! So here are a few of our favorites!! I just wanted to mention how I had such a hard time picking between all the amazing people, and I'm that person who falls in love with the dorky best friend so none of mine are actually the story's main characters. Anyways here they are.

Cover Love: Valentine's Edtion

Cover looooooooooooooooooove. All the loves of covers. So for these Valentine's week covers I tried to take not only pretty covers, but ones that go with the theme of the week. So today our cover that we love is that of The Lipstick Laws. The candy heart which I know they have a name and are usually given out on Valentine's Day because they say stuff like "be mine" and what not. Yeah well, this cover has one of those, and really cute lipstick cover and I just like it.

What Not to Love: Series!

We're going to kick off Valentine's Week with our top ten favorite series/trilogies. Rose's top five fav's, and of course yours truly's. That's worded weird. Who cares!? I'm posting this in PINK! (Blogger is totally cramping my style with their lack of color/fonts) Back to topic here, so out of the millions of series and trilogies, and the hundreds that's we've read, here are some that stuck out the most to us.

Cover Love: Valentine's Edition

I mentioned before that we'll be throwing in some random cover loves throughout the week, just because it's a week full of la-la-la-loove <3. And there are so many covers that I think would make this lovely week, a little more, well lovely. *sigh* 

Cover Love #eh kinda

So I didn't post yesterday and all that, we hit out 1,500 view today! Awesome thanks you people reading this. Or robots, or little siblings going through your older siblings internet histories. Whoever you are, keep it up. The reason I didn't post yesterday, I have a legit reason, is that I couldn't find a good enough cover. There wasn't anything breathtaking or marvelous or out there. Nothing made me stop and stare, or pass it, then go back and be all "oooo, sehr interessant" (told you I took German.)

2012 Favorites #7

So I was listening to music and I had a total "Oh merde! I forgot to post today!" moment. Correct me if I'm wrong, but merde is supposed to mean crap in French I dunno, I took German... Anywho, I did forget to post up until five minutes ago, and I want to apologize for my inaccurate posting lately. I suck, I really do, and I'm sorry for that. I'm sorry to all of you (not many), but random people who actually do come on the blog. Everyday, once a week, whenever. You deserve better than this.

counting the days #8 School Spirits by Rachel Hawkins

I might've mentioned before in a post how Rachel Hawkins is my all time favorite author, and I totally love her and her books? Right? I mean, it has to have come up. If not, well it's true, I'm a total sucker for the Hex Hall Trilogy. It's one of those seriously rare books I found as soon as it began, and I waited each year for the next installment. Of course, when I found out that it was going to end, I was crushed. However the fact that School Spirits is the first in a spin-off trilogy(series maybe?), totally almost made up for Hex Hall ending.

Cover Love #10

Alrighty, so I've kinda been at war with myself on whether or not to post up Lies That Bind as a cover love. I mean, I really like the cover, but I wasn't sure if it stood out enough to post about. After talking myself in and out of it at least, what? Five times, already, I finally decided to just post it.

2012 Favorites #6

Alrighty, so Google Chrome hasn't been friendly exactly with blogger the last few days (weird cause they're both google softwares whatever) so I'm hoping to be able to post this without my browser crashing.*fingers crossed* Now for the reasons I la-la-la-loooove Losing Lila by Sarah Alderson. I'm going to  list them, because I'm in a list mood.

1. Sarah Alderson writes the BEST stories, I seriously expect nothing less than amazing from her.

2. I love all the characters!! Suki and Nate are HILARIOUS, Lila is amazing, Alex and Jack are the bestest. There are lot of important characters so I could go on forever. Or at least what seems like forever.

Cover Love #9

What to love what to love. Only my ninth cover love and I'm already only coming up with covers I hate. I try to post up covers that I really really do love. That are gorgeous and breathtaking, and happen to be different from a book we've reviewed, or mentioned before. So it really is harder than it looks, being that we've posted about 43 book covers previously and try not to repeat any, in any post. Okay, I know I've repeated a few, but I'm only human right?

2012 Favorites #5

Today’s 2012 Favorite is brought to you by my English homework! No joke, I seriously didn't know what to pick until it hit me when I was writing up a little assignment on how awesome Emerson is. How Hourglass is connected with Beowulf (which we’re analyzing/reading) I don’t care to explain. Back to topic here, Hourglass by Myra McEntire is seriously amaze. I LOVE this story, it’s incredible and definitely a must read. Now, those of you who die at the sight on time travelers, you’ll love this book. It’s got some serious time traveling issues, a couple uber hotties, a supportive sister-in-law, and at slightly confused yet totally kick-ass main character.  Plus some romance in it for the rest of ya.

Hourglass is the first in the Hourglass Trilogy, and I must say Timepiece really does live up to the standards. I love both books and am sad to say that the last installment in the trilogy will be released this year. (Sad but happy, and totally excited, yet seriously remorseful.)

Cover Love #8

Today's a Cover Love day!! Woohoo! It was actually pretty easy finding this because it was a tie for last week's!  Now, I've never read the book/series but Need by Carrie Jones has one killer cover. As much as I'm against the whole vamp/werewolf take over in the YA world, I will accept their beautiful covers without complaint. Actually, my only complaint is that I see such a pretty cover and then have to be let down that the story revolves around another over protective amazingly hot vampire. I mean seriously, I know loads of people disagree with me, but haven't the vamps had their run? It's time to let someone/something else steal the show. Back to topic here's the cover:

2012 Favorites #4

Alrighty, I may have mentioned the Demon Trappers series in the past, (I think I have), and how much I seriously love that series and ate up the all four novels and prequel last year. Of course I'd make all five stories into 2012 favorites, but I'd assume after posting about one you people in bloggerville will get the hint. Sad for me because I have less to post about, but I don't want to be that annoying person who keeps repeating the same things over, and over.

Getting off topic, back to the point here. I love the Demon Trapper Series by Jana Oliver, it's super amazing and I loved the story for every minute, and just about everything I wanted happened in the end. It wasn't too predictable and not too confusing either. Each book was nice and left you wanting for more, and I don't really remember it having the constant "O.M.G I'M GOING TO DIE" cliff hangers. (I could be wrong! But who cares they're all released!) I am VERY sad that my Trapper adventures are over, and I'm still looking for that one story that could come close to filling that gap in my heart. Even though I probably wont, I still think it was an excellent ride, taking in considerations all the ups and downs.
