Ponyboy can count on his brothers and his friends, but not on much else besides trouble with the Socs, a vicious gang of rich kids who get away with everything, including beating up greasers like Ponyboy. At least he knows what to expect--until the night someone takes things too far.

"The Outsiders" is a memorable story of teens trying to find their place of belonging.
If you haven't yet read "The Outsiders", its a MUST read! (after you read it, watch the movie!)
I think quite highly of the author S.E. Hinton and the book "The Outsiders". At age 16, she wrote the novel and maybe that's why so many people really get into and understand it.
My rating on this book: 5 out of 5!
