2012 Favorites #7

So I was listening to music and I had a total "Oh merde! I forgot to post today!" moment. Correct me if I'm wrong, but merde is supposed to mean crap in French I dunno, I took German... Anywho, I did forget to post up until five minutes ago, and I want to apologize for my inaccurate posting lately. I suck, I really do, and I'm sorry for that. I'm sorry to all of you (not many), but random people who actually do come on the blog. Everyday, once a week, whenever. You deserve better than this. This is totally irrelevant, but I saw something on Tumblr today saying "Tumblr is like talking to your cat. You don't know if they are listening, and you don't know if they care, but for some reason, it still helps." I know that's probably a million years old and a gazillion reblogs, but I really like it. Annd I have to say I feel the same way here on blogspot. I don't really know who if anyone is reading this, but hey it's fun. And I talk to myself half the time anyways. I do actually have two cats, but they yell at me. My cats really do bully me. Like I said totally irrelevant, but that's how I feel. And guys, girls, cats, dinosaurs, robots, whoever you are, you can always comment. I mean, I know I'm not gonna get any comments just for saying that, but I promise I won't bite. Just say "hi!" or "that's a pretty font!". It doesn't matter, and if I earn myself zilch for that attempt well that's okay. My first comment was an author, after I posted up about his book. How freaking awesome is that? Totally worth the wait to have an amaze first comment on your first blog? Now I'm gonna get on with my favorite.

Born Wicked, I freaking loved this book. I will admit, it took a bit of time for me to get really into it, but it's such a good book. I'm one of those weird people who are obsessed with witches, the Salem Trials. All that wonderful happy stuff. I know a lot of people hate it, but I freaking love it. Like loooooooooove it. This book has a little romance in it, it's old fashioned, I forget if they mention what year it is. They have a governess in the book it's got to be mid 1800 early 1900. It's got some adventure, a lot of it is tense, a little mystery. Some sad moments. It's such an amazing book that as soon as I finished it I was on the hunt for something that could compare. (Didn't find it though...)
Born Wicked follows Cate and her two younger siblings as they try to hide their powers from their town. Only without being seen as outcasts, trying to manage to fit into society. Their father is sorta absent in their lives, and their mother died years before. There's also your romance, while Cate was planning on accepting a proposal from her long time friend, yet at the same time something is spurring up with a totally unlikely character. My favorite thing about this book is it's not just Cate and her sisters struggling, there's about a town full of witches yet no one knows about it. It's increasingly interesting. I'm kinda blanking out on all the little details, so yeah. This book is super awesome. If you like historical fiction, witchcraft, romance, mystery, and even a little humor, this is definitely your cup of tea.
